How weNow Works
weNow checks multiple weather services at the same time and combines their forecasts into one clear answer. Instead of trusting a single source, you get a consensus view -- and you can see exactly how much the sources agree.
Why Multiple Sources?
Open three different weather apps and you'll often get three different forecasts. Which one is right? weNow solves this by querying up to 6 weather services simultaneously (2 on the free tier, all 6 with weNow Advanced) and computing a weighted median — outliers get dropped and higher-quality forecast models count more, so the result is a consensus you can trust. When the sources agree, you can be confident in the forecast. When they disagree, weNow tells you that too.
What You See in the App
- Consensus temperature -- The combined forecast from all sources, computed as a weighted median
- Confidence color -- Green means sources agree closely, yellow means some disagreement, red means significant disagreement
- Individual source cards -- See what each weather service is predicting so you can compare
- 7-day daily and 48-hour hourly forecasts -- Combined forecasts for the days and hours ahead
- Severe weather alerts -- Notifications when alerts are issued for your area (Advanced)
